2007:  Awarded the Clayton State University “Alice Smith Award” for excellence in teaching-the highest award the university bestows on one of its faculty members every year. Received May 1, 2007.

2006: Awarded “Teacher of the Year” by the 2006 BSN graduating class, Clayton State University.

2003: Awarded “Teacher of the Year” by the 2003 BSN graduating class, Clayton State University.

2003: Received 10 year service award, Clayton State University

2001: Grant Writing Award presented by CSU University President, Dr. Thomas Harden
