Incident Reporting Procedures
Students of both tracks of the BSN program are required to report all accidents that occur to them while participating in an activity of the BSN Program. Incidents occurring in the clinical laboratory setting (i.e. needle sticks) must be reported immediately to the clinical instructor. An incident report will be completed by the faculty member, the student will be offered appropriate treatment, requested to follow the procedure specified by the host clinical agency, and to sign and retain a copy of the incident report. Refer to the Clinical Exposure section of the Nursing Student Handbook for details on potential health risks.
Waiver of Liability
Students of both tracks of the BSN program are required to sign a Waiver of Liability form upon program admission, releasing Clayton State University, the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia and the officers, agents and employees of each, should the student suffer any illness or injury incurred in the usual course of educational activities in the BSN program.
