General Policies

Behavior

It is the policy of the School of Nursing to create and maintain a teaching-learning environment conducive to the sharing of information, exploration of new knowledge and current problems, and the open expression of ideas while demonstrating respect for the dignity and worth of all individuals involved in the teaching-learning process.

  • Students should turn off (or set to a vibrating position) all beepers, cell phones and other electronic devices when in classroom and clinical settings.
  • Tape recorders must be used cautiously because of the sensitive nature of some discussions. Students must obtain permission from the individual faculty member and/or guest speaker before taping a class session.
  • Students are encouraged to refrain from any and all behaviors constituting disorderly, disruptive, or obstructive actions which interfere with the teaching-learning process.
  • Students who violate policy will be subject to disciplinary procedures by the School of Nursing and Clayton State University.
