Nurse Entrance Test (NET)
The NET is a requirement for all applicants to the basic licensure nursing program. It is a standardized examination that evaluates seven areas deemed essential for academic success. Clayton State administers computerized form A of the NET with a time allotment per section of:

Registered nurses in the completion track are not required to take the NET.
Preparation
The NET is a crucial component in your nursing application. Therefore, you should prepare thoroughly for the exam. Study guides are available at most bookstores including the University Bookstore which is located in the lower level of the University Center and online at http://ccsuestore.com/. Educational Resources Inc., the publisher of the exam, offers a study guide through their website at http://www.eriworld.com/.
Registration
Contact the Testing Center located on the first floor of the Library Building or call 678-466-4495. A non-refundable fee of $25.00 is due at time of testing. Two attempts per application period are permitted with a 21-day interval between attempts. Applicants who feel unwell on test date are strongly recommended to reschedule (if you leave before completion, it will count as one attempt).
The NET is only offered at certain times of the year to correspond with the application period for the basic licensure program.

Location
Report to the Testing Center located on the first floor of the Library. Arrive twenty-minutes early for check-in. Late arrivals will not be permitted. For entry, you must bring a photo ID (Laker card or drivers license). Calculators, cell phones and all other electronic or text devices are prohibited. Food, drinks, or other people (including children) may not be brought inside the testing room.
Bring a watch to keep up with the time. When time is up for a section, the computer automatically moves to the next section. If you complete a section early, you can move to the next section by clicking a confirm button. Note that once you leave a section you cannot go back to it.
Results
You will receive an official grade report immediately upon completion and a copy will be sent to Clayton State's School of Nursing. Additional copies may be requested for a fee of $25.00 per educational institution. Submit a Request for NET Results to the School of Nursing.
The School of Nursing evaluates NET scores with other critical components in a competitive admission process. In order for your nursing application to be considered, you must meet the following minimum score requirements:

Results transferred from ERI or other schools are generally not acceptable.
Out of State Applicants
You may contact Educational Resources, Inc. to find out if the NET is offered in your area. Notify the School of Nursing of availability. If approved, request that your scores be mailed to Clayton State.
