Text Box: SOS I

Text Box: SOS II

Text Box: The SOS I  online course provides pre-nursing students the opportunity to enhance academic skills in the areas of critical thinking, mathematics, writing, reading comprehension, and study strategies. In addition, technology skills will be enhanced through the use of word processing, PowerPoint, and Galileo. Selected activities will be used to showcase the role of the registered nurse.

Text Box: The SOS II online course, aimed at junior nursing students, gives students the opportunity to build basic academic reading and writing skills and expand critical thinking skills as demonstrated by math computation skills and enhanced test– taking ability. Also, the students will explore the health care environment and participate in choosing a Faculty Mentor.

Text Box: SOS III

Text Box: The SOS III online course is geared toward providing senior nursing students with transitioning into a professional environment. They will expand on their health care experiences gained in SOS II with a faculty mentor. Students will also be able to strengthen any needed academic skills identified in SOS II.
